QuimDigital, www.QuimDigital.com — February 2012 - February 2014

 

QuimDigital is a collaborative blog I built and manage.  With content written by as many as 10 contributors from across the country, it covers a wide variety of subject matter.  By primarily utilizing social media to build awareness QuimDigital reached over 1,100 views on launch day, and has secured a steady following ever since.

 

Life In Color, Michigan — September 2012 - May 2014

 

I worked as a promotor for Life In Color events across the state of Michigan.  L.I.C., heralded as "The World’s Largest Paint Party”, is a continual global concert series which featuring the biggest acts in Electronic Dance Music (EDM).  As a promotor it was my responsibility drum up awareness and interest for upcoming shows, primarily using social media.  Additionally I was tasked with ticket sales, and worked various jobs during events.

 

Wayside/O’Kelly’s, Mt. Pleasant, MI — March 2012 - May 2014

 

I’ve worked on the promotional staff for Wayside/O’Kelly’s (a Mt. Pleasant, MI nightclub/sports bar) for a couple of years. During my time I’ve planned, coordinated, and promoted a multitude of weekly events and memorable concerts. My promotional efforts have often utilized internet marketing and social media. However direct marketing and sales, are skills I have often relied upon to raise awareness and attendance of these events.

 

Motivated Mitten Speaker Series, Central Michigan University — November 2013

 

Put on by CM-Life (the student newspaper of Central Michigan University), the CMU New Venture Competition, and CMU Research Center; The Motivated Mitten Speaker Series brings successful entrepreneurs from all over the state of Michigan to educate, energize, and extend opportunities to the students of Central Michigan University. As a volunteer, I worked in the communications department primarily creating event buzz via social media.

 

KRUUE Member: Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, MI — April 2012 - May 2013

 

Kruue is the first national collegiate endorsement label of it’s kind. Each campus’s Kruue members are comprised of opinion leaders from different student organizations, clubs, and affiliations. Kruue utilized it's exclusive network to create awareness and promote local businesses and specials, concerts, etc. via social media, in-print media, and it’s app among other things.
